It’s the weekend!!!!! So you know what time it is. Unwinding, relaxing and just kicking our feet up in the comfort of my nice, cozy apartment. Today I’m going to share with you the recipe for Moscow Mule. I had my first Moscow Mule a few months ago in Atlanta and it was one of the most interesting drinks I’ve had. I think this is a wonderful drink for the colder months because of the ginger and a perfect drink for the summer because of the lime. Basically, that means it’s great to have all year round. I love the heat from fresh ginger combined with citrus taste of the lime. Normally, the drink is served in a copper mug but since I had none of those on hand, I used regular tumblers.
Ingredients:
6 ounces vodka
Fresh lime juice from 1 lime plus 1 lime sliced
1 1/2 cups ginger beer
1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger
candied ginger slices
Ice
Method:
1. Combine vodka, lime juice and grated ginger in a shaker with ice – shake vigorously until well mixed.
2. Distribute lime slices between glasses along with ice
3. Pour shaken cocktail into glasses and top with ginger beer. Stir gently.
4. Garnish with candied ginger
5. Enjoy!
Bye For Now…..

Mmm … fresh ginger and fresh lime, sounds like the perfect year-round drink. Would definitely go well with Caribbean food, I should think!
Ginger and lime sound like a delicious and healthy combination!
Wishing you and your family a very Happy 2012 and may the New Year bring lots of joy, cheer and happiness! :)
Oh my goodness this looks good. I’m off to the liquor store right now!
Moscow mule!!?I never heard of this one before.I’m wondering if it’s actually popular(I don’t think).
mmmmm one of my most favourite cocktails! If you pop some cucumber (sounds weird I know) it really brings out the flavours!
I’ll definitely have to try it with some cucumber slices next time. Thanks for the tip.
