My body is in North America but my mind is on a warm, white sand beach in the Caribbean. Seriously. I miss my island so much. I’m planning a trip as I type and really want to do it ASAP but I can’t be mean to my PIC so I’m waiting for him to get his vacation days up, so that he can come to paradise with me. Otherwise, February would find me in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. In the mean time, I have to resort to making drinks like these and then spreading off in my living room like I’m on vacation, enjoying life while sipping on said drinks. I think I need to buy some drink umbrellas soon. Anyways, today I give you this Blue Lemonade and also The Bermuda Triangle. The blue lemonade is such a colorful and delicious drink. The Bermuda triangle is STRONG but good. They both are easy to make and go down very well. If I can’t get to the Caribbean at this point, well I’ll just bring the Caribbean to me..
Ingredients:
2 oz vodka
2 oz Blue Curacao liqueur
6 oz lemonade (I used the mix)
Ice cubes
Method:
You’re supposed to combine all ingredients in a shaker jar. Mix well. Serve in tall, thin glass over ice BUT I wanted to build my drink so I started with the lemonade and poured that into the serving glass, then combined vodka and blue curacao liqueur in the shaker, shook and then poured into the glass with lemonade. That’s why my drink has two colors.
As an added bonus, I found this: The Bermuda Triangle. in my photo archives
I made it late last year but forgot to take the photo of the ingredients in my haste to make the drink and start sipping (so I feel as if it doesn’t deserve its’ own post)
If you want to make it, what you’ll need is:
3 oz Gold Rum
2 oz Unsweetened Cranberry Juice
2 oz Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
Again that’s
Then
And
Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Shake. Pour into a rocks glass filled with crushed ice and stir gently. Garnish with an orange wheel and cherries. And Ta-Da!
Have a relaxing and enjoyable weekend.
Bye For Now…..

Blue is my favorite color. So I expect this when I come to visit.
Sure thing Ayana! We’re gonna have a partaayyyy!
Color me there!! Ahhhh I wish! Love the color, it reminds me of the Carribean and the beautiful water color. I actually have a picture of St. John’s Trunk Bay on my desk that I took while vacationing there … in my mind I too am there in the Carribean… Enjoy your weekend Tia!
Nothing like the beautiful water of the Caribbean Sea. I think I’m about to tear up. I kid. I kid. I hope you had a grand time while you visited the U.S Virgin Islands.
Enjoy your weekend too! Thanks for coming by.
This is such a pretty drink. Think you could make a virgin version for me? If not; that’s okay. Just take me with you when you go to the Caribbean…
Sure thing. I make some lemonade and some club soda or maybe ginger ale and a drop of blue food color. Your own non alcoholic blue lemonade.
But you’re also welcome to come with me to the Caribbean too :)
Yum, I’m totally with you. We normally go to the Carribean this time of year and have to skip it this year because I have no vacation time! These look so good!
Awww. Bummer! @ having to miss out on all that sun and sand this year. Well there’s always next year. Start counting down.
Ah, the colors and flavors of the Caribbean! No wonder you miss it! Looks fabulous!
Thank you!
Oooh I have all the ingredients for the Bermuda Triangle, so I´ll try this out tomorrow night! Might have to turn up the heating and put my swimming costume on to really get the full experience :)
Hahaha. Have fun Tanya!! I’m sure you’ll have a blast!
Love the Blue Lemonade – so pretty! And that Bermuda Triangle looks a lot like the Hurricane I just made for a post that will go up Mardi Gras week. I actually bought some of those umbrellas for the shoot but didn’t use them!
Yum! Both drinks sound so delicious!
Looove that blue color! Think I’m going to have to invest in some Blue Curacao. Have a lovely day! :)
That blue is beautiful.
Thanks for coming by!
