My PIC’s biggest qualm with me in the kitchen is how high I keep the refrigerator temperature. I keep it allllll the way up high. 9 is the highest it can go and 9 is where I keep it. So most of the time, things in the fridge get frozen. Take for example these strawberries I had in the refrigerator. I took them out to eat and they were….can you guess? Frozen. I pictured him giving me a wicked side eye so before I allowed that to happen, I just took them and whipped up this treat. See? There’s always an up side to bad things. Always! *smiles*

And Now…..Presenting Drink # 2!
Pumpkin Pie Milkshake
Since October I’ve been longing for pumpkin pie. What you may find strange is that…..I’ve never had pumpkin pie. So how is it that I was longing for it? Well, have you ever just looked at the ingredients that make up a particular dish and know that it’ll be good? That’s what it’s like for me a lot of times. Quite a few of the dishes posted here are first time attempts but I do them bravely because I just know the ingredients will meld perfectly together to make a delightful result. This was the case with this milkshake. I really didn’t have the time or energy to whip up a pie from scratch because the craving really hit me bad one morning. I decided to get my fix in the easiest possible way. A milkshake! I still have never had pumpkin pie but I know what pumpkin taste like. I know what vanilla ice cream, milk and all the other spices taste like, too. So I knew that THIS milkshake would have been out-of-this-world good. I was right…yet again!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup pumpkin puree
1/4 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
3 tbsp brown sugar, packed
3 cups vanilla ice cream
2 HoneyMaid honey graham crackers
Method:
1. In blender combine pumpkin, milk, vanilla, spice and sugar until blended. Add ice cream and blend until well combined and smooth. (add more milk if too thick)
2. Pour in glass and serve. Enjoy!
This shake was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good!!!! Satisfied my craving perfectly.
Bye For Now…..

How funny, I am still dealing with our glut of strawberries and made the exact same thing yesterday (in fact my photo is almost identical :) ) Now I fancy the pumpkin one though….
Great minds! And the pumpkin was so good! You should try it
Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh… I used all my pumpkin up on those cakes I posted! Crap.
Now I have to go to the grocery store. Because if I don’t, visions of this milkshake will haunt me. It looks soooo good!
I don’t know. Your pumpkin loaf looked pretty good. I wouldn’t have traded that for a milkshake but if you do get around to trying this, you’ll like it.
I love smoothies! So yummy. I guess I don’t need to freeze strawberries or bananas using your high refrigerator temp method! :)
Yay, I have pumpkin in my pantry! Trying your milkshake treat!
Hahaha. I’ve started to take down my fridge temperature. Hope you enjoy the shake!
