Last week, I was honored when Florence from Perks Of Cancer asked me to guest post for her blog. Her request was simple; she wanted me to share with her audience a cancer-fighting dish/recipe. Well, when I got this request if I could have back flipped, trust me, I would have. I’ve never been good at gymnastics and since I’m getting down in age, now isn’t the time to start experimenting. I was overwhelmed, elated, stupefied (Yes, it was THAT serious). I couldn’t believe that Florence found me worthy of being featured on her blog and wanted to share me with her audience. After I calmed my excited self down, I started researching. I found out so much information about foods that are good for our bodies and foods that can actually help reduce the risk of getting cancer. It was truly a wonderful experience. I did this scrumptious pomegranate glazed salmon for Perks of Cancer
You can find the recipe on Florence’s website
And I’m warning you, when you visit her site, you will fall in love. Florence is currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer but her optimism is out of this world. I found her through Rachel Turner’s blog (another cancer warrior) and they both inspire me daily to be thankful, to be grateful and to find beauty in any and every situation. Their joy, their hope, their high spirits are inspiring and contagious.
So be sure to check out Florence, say hi and give her an encouraging word! We’re all on this earth for each other. Make her day brighter.
Bye For Now…..

This looks just delicious, Tia. Pomegranate is one of my favorite flavors and I hadn’t thought to use it to glaze salmon. I love that you said, “we’re all on this earth for each other.”. I couldn’t agree more. I’ll be visiting Florence and Rachel this week.
Thank you Allison. You should definitely try it as a glaze. I think it’ll work well on chicken too or even pork.
I hope you have a good visit to Rachel’s and Florence’s blog. You are such a sweetheart!

Super post, super recipe! That hot pink dress looks like it could kick breast cancer’s ass. :) And now I have another reason to try to like salmon. It’s at the top of the list for heart healthy foods and now it fights cancer, too.
Thank you Heather! Hahaha. You have me blushing here.
And yes, salmon is really good for us.
Tia, you are making me blush with your kind words. You know what they say, Flattery will get you EVERYWHERE :)
