Who doesn’t love pizza? Raise your hand if you don’t. Thought so. Everyone (or mostly everyone) loves the stuff. And as good as Dominos, Papa John and all those fabulous pizza companies are, sometimes I just want to make my own pizza. I haven’t faced my fear of yeast yet so I still use Pilsbury’s pizza dough for my homemade pizza. The pizza sauce though, I’ve got that covered!
Adapated from Two Tarts
Ingredients:
1 can tomato sauce
1 can tomato paste
3 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp red wine vinegar
1 tbsp dried basil
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp salt
4 cloves garlic, minced
Method:
1. Combine all of the ingredients in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat to medium.
2. Simmer for 15 minutes.
3. Add mixture to blender and pulse until you reach your desired consistency.
Now time to make a semi-homemade pizza
I’m no good at making crust.
One slice for me (it’s missing from the photo). T’was soooooo good!
Bye For Now…..

Just one slice?! I´ll have to come round and help you out ;) I have a huge weakness for pizza and we make it quite often. Our sauces are pretty much the same…sure you´re not part Italian?!
This sauce looks super rich and delicious – pizza is my ultimate weakness because of good crust and sauce like yours :D
Cheers

Looks delicious. Yummy.
Looks delish! I love the mix of ingredients in your sauce. Nicely done!
I add pepper flakes to my pizza sauce too. I really love the flavor it adds! More cheese please!
Hi Tia. Nice to see you back. Another little tempter! Looks delicious.
Have a wonderful day.
