Who remembers in my S’mores Cookies post where I admitted that I had/have never sat around a campfire enjoying the S’mores making experience? Before my S’mores Cookies, I had never even had the stuff. I had seen it in all shapes and form but never had it. When I made those cookies, I was hooked. I loved the combination! So, when I stumbled across this recipe the other day, I knew I had to give it a go. The end result? Utter bliss. I made mine mid afternoon on a Saturday but I’m sure it’d be perfect for any time of day!
Inspiration from Annie’s Eats
Ingredients:
For the oatmeal:
1 cup water
2 cups milk
2 cups old fashioned oats
2 tbsp. brown sugar
For topping:
1/2 cup mini marshmallows
1-2 graham crackers, cut or crumbled into medium pieces
2 oz. milk chocolate, divided into segments or coarsely chopped
Method:
1. To make the oatmeal, combine the water and milk in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Stir in the oats and cook about 1 minute, stirring occasionally.
2. Divide the oatmeal between individual ramekins. Evenly cover the tops of the oatmeal with mini marshmallows. Garnish with graham cracker pieces and milk chocolate segments.
3. Use a kitchen torch to brown the marshmallows and slightly melt the chocolate. Serve immediately.
So creamy, so chocolately and so good!!!
Bye For Now…..

Are you trying to kill me?? :) That looks yummy – like an oatmeal dessert instead of breakfast dish.
Most delicious looking oatmeal that I have ever seen!
This is the most decadent form of oatmeal ever :)
I don’t see you around much anymore but I am glad you are still creating my friend :D
Cheers
