I promise I haven’t forgotten about my blog. Life just gets busy sometimes. I know you all understand. Honestly I really have to try to get back on track. I have recipes from February (food and drinks) that I still have not posted. There are about 37 posts I still have to write up. No lie. I will get around to them. Promise. Anywhoos, this recipe came directly from the Jameson website. I initially wanted to say that this was basically a twist on the classic Amaretto Sour BUT it isn’t (did you get that shameless plug?). It’s just a way to kick up the classic Old Fashioned a notch or two. I didn’t have but a sip of it and it was good. Next time though, I’ll be making my own glass of the stuff.
Ingredients:
50ml of Jameson Irish Whiskey
10ml Amaretto
10ml Sugar Syrup
3 dashes of bitters
a squeeze of lemon juice (my own addition)
Method:
1. Stir one shot of Jameson with two ice cubes in a glass.
2. Add amaretto, simple syrup, bitters, lemon and two more ice cubes.
3. Stir some more, then add another two ice cubes and the remaining Jameson.
4. Stir lots more so as to melt ice, then add more ice. The melting and stirring in of ice cubes is essential to the dilution and taste of the drink.
Bye For Now…..

I look forward to all 37 :D
Cheers

I love how you always get great photos of your cocktails :D
We all get caught up in the hustle bustle of life sometimes! And blogging takes a backseat. I also have pending recipes! This looks great!

Nice drink. I almost never drink Irish whiskey (I’m a rye man) but it has great flavor. I should give this a try sometime – thanks!
